Google is preparing to take major action against low-quality and non-functional apps, in which many popular apps, which have millions of downloads, may be banned. For this, the deadline of August 31, 2024 has been fixed.

Google is working on a new plan, under which Google is going to release Android apps on a large scale. Actually, Google is working towards making the Google Play app more secure for Android users, under which Google can remove thousands of apps from its platform which are low quality and non-functional. Let us tell you that there are such apps available on Google Play Store, which are not working at present. Also, some apps come in very poor quality, which spoils the user experience.

Google fixed the deadline of 31st August

Google has set a deadline of August 31, 2024 to remove such apps. Actually, the company has updated the spam and minimum functionality policy, so that the quality of the app and its experience can be improved. In Google’s new policy, apps with little content and not designed properly will be removed. This includes text only apps, single wallpaper apps. Complaints have been received against these apps that they do not install properly. Also crashes upon installation.

2.28 apps removed in the year 2023

Google has said that the app should be stable, responsive and have great user experience. Overall, the apps listed on the App Store should have better quality and user experience. Earlier in the year 2023, Google had removed 22.8 lakh apps from the Google Play Store platform on charges of policy violation. Also, the submission of 200,000 apps was cancelled.
